Irish Lead Climbing League @ Foyle Arena
14/11/2015 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Irish Leading League is a new series of competitions for Mountaineering Ireland.
The Irish Leading League will cater for a wide variety of climbers keen to test themselves at a lead climbing competition. The Irish Leading League is suitable for any climber who is competent at lead climbing; from relative novices to very experienced climbers.
The Irish Leading League will feature ten routes of varying grades of difficulty, from about 5b to 8a. All competitors can attempt all ten routes. If you clip the top anchor point on your first attempt you score ten points, seven on your second attempt and four on your third attempt. You can score two points by clipping the top anchor point on your fourth or any successive attempt. Even if you do not reach the top you can still score one point by clipping the designated bonus quickdraw.
Climbing begins at 10:00 and finishes at 16:00. Competitors can choose when to climb within these time limits
